Replace the battery on a 2005-2016 Toyota RAV4.

Steps
- Remove the old battery
Pull the push-pin retainers to free the engine compartment trim, loosen the tie-down's J-hook nut and remove its bolt, free the wiring harness retainers from the tie-down and remove it, then disconnect the negative cable, lift the positive cable's cover and disconnect it too, slide off the side cover, and lift the battery out.
- Install the new battery
Clean the terminals and cable ends with a battery brush, lower the battery in and slide the side cover over it, reconnect the positive cable then the negative cable, set the tie-down and its J-hook, tighten its bolt and nut, then refit the engine compartment trim and its push-pin retainers.
