Counter-hold the slide pin with a 19mm wrench while loosening the 12mm caliper bolts, pull the caliper aside and secure it with a bungee cord, pull out the old pads, then remove the 17mm bracket bolts and the rotor's two Phillips retaining screws before lifting the rotor off.
- Install the new rotor, pads and caliper
Clean both rotor faces with brake cleaner, fit the new rotor and its Phillips screws, grease the slide pins, refit the bracket and torque its bolts to about 85 ft-lb, then grease the new pads, seat them, compress the piston, refit the caliper and torque its bolts to about 25 ft-lb.
- Reinstall the wheel
Torque the lug nuts to about 80 ft-lb in a crossing pattern.
- Test the brakes before driving normally
Pump the pedal until firm, test stopping gently at 5 and 10 mph, then road test.
