Steps
- Remove upper trim
Open the hood. Lift the push clips from the upper radiator cover and grille trim and set the clips aside. Check for any remaining upper bumper fasteners before pulling on the cover.
- Free the lower and side bumper fasteners
Support the car safely. Remove the 10mm lower splash-shield bolts, disconnect fog-lamp wiring if fitted, and release the fasteners in both front wheel wells.
- Move the bumper cover aside
Release the cover from its side clips along each fender and remove the remaining upper clips. Pull the cover forward carefully, checking that no wiring remains attached.
- Remove and compare the headlamp
Remove the headlamp mounting fasteners, lift its locating tabs and slide the assembly forward. Unplug the lamp connectors and release the harness clip. Compare bulbs, connectors, tabs and mounting points with the new assembly.
- Install and reconnect
Attach the harness clip and each bulb connector, guide the headlamp into its tabs and start every mounting fastener before snugging them down. Do the other side only if replacing both assemblies.
- Reassemble and check aim
Seat the bumper cover into its side clips and reinstall the upper, wheel-well and lower fasteners. Reconnect fog lamps if fitted. Test all front lights and check headlamp aim against the procedure for your vehicle.
