Steps
- Swap a bulb without removing the assembly
Twist off the rear cap, twist the bulb's socket counterclockwise and pull it free, then pull the old bulb out, plug in the new one, and reverse the steps to close it back up.
- Remove the full headlight assembly
Remove the two 10mm bolts at the top of the light, pry off the bumper trim to reach a 12mm bolt behind it, pull six plastic rivets from the top of the bumper cover and loosen a T25 screw inside the wheel well, pull the front edge of the bumper out, then remove the remaining 10mm screws around the headlight and its adjusting plate before unplugging it and pulling it free.
- Install the new assembly
Transfer the rubber gasket to the new headlight, reconnect its harnesses and seat it in the opening without pinching any wiring, reinstall all the bolts and screws in reverse order, refit the bumper trim and its rivets, then use the top adjusting screws to aim the beam.
