How to Replace Headlights 94-01 Dodge Ram 1500

Replace the headlight assembly, including the parking light, on a 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500.
Tools you will need
- Ratchet
- Flat blade screwdriver
- Phillips head screwdriver
- 10mm socket
- Cloth rags

- Headlight assembly
- Parking light
Steps
- Remove the parking light
Pry off the gasket's retaining clips with a screwdriver and rag, remove the Phillips screw holding the parking light, then remove the assembly.
- Remove the old headlight assembly
Protect the bumper cover with a rag, remove the 10mm bolts holding the headlight, pry out its retaining pin with a rag and screwdriver, work the headlight out, then unplug its harness.
- Install the new assembly
Line up the new headlight, plug in the harness, clip it into place, push its retaining pin back in, then bolt it in with the 10mm socket.
- Reinstall the parking light
Plug in its harness, clip the assembly into place, then refit its Phillips screw.
