How to Replace Cabin Air Filter 00-03 Nissan Maxima

Replace the dual cabin air filters behind the glove compartment on a 2000-2003 Nissan Maxima.

Steps

1. Remove the glove compartment

   Remove the two Phillips screws below it, open it, remove the two screws on its latch and two on top, pull part of the weather strip free, lower the compartment, disconnect its wiring harness, then release the filter door's clip and slide it off to pull the old filters out.

2. Fit the new filters and reassemble

   Insert the new filters with their arrows pointing up, clip the door back on, reconnect the wiring harness, refit the compartment and its screws, press the weather strip back in, then close it up.
