Jump-start, charge, or replace the battery on a 1997-2005 Lexus GS300.

- 10mm socket

Steps
- Jump or charge the battery if needed
Located at the passenger rear of the engine bay, remove the positive terminal's protector, then connect jumper or charger leads to the correct terminals.
- Remove the old battery
Loosen and remove the negative then positive cables with a 10mm socket, remove the rear tie-down hook's nut and loosen the front one to free it, then lift the battery out.
- Install the new battery
Clean the terminals and cables with a terminal cleaner or wire brush, seat the new battery with its terminals aligned correctly, refit the tie-down bracket, hooks and nuts, reconnect the positive then negative cables, apply battery protectant, then refit the terminal cover.
