Steps
- Remove the old belt
Disconnect the positive battery cable, note the belt routing diagram, use a 15mm wrench on the tensioner to slacken the belt, then pull it off the alternator and out of the engine, checking it for cracking or damage.
- Install the new belt
Follow the routing diagram to loop it over every pulley except the idler, then use the 15mm wrench on the tensioner to walk it onto the idler pulley, reconnect the battery, and start the engine to confirm it runs smoothly.
