Steps
- Remove the wheel

Push the pistons back with a screwdriver, remove the two 14mm caliper bolts, swing the caliper aside, then pry off the old pads and slide out their mounting slides.
- Remove the rotor
Remove the two 17mm bracket bolts and pull the bracket off, then pull the rotor off, striking its hub area with a hammer if it's stuck.
- Clean everything before fitting new parts
Scrub the pad slides with a wire brush and brake cleaner, grease the slides and pad tabs, then clean the new rotor's surface with brake cleaner.
- Fit the new rotor and bracket
Seat the rotor, hold it with a lug nut, refit the bracket, and torque its bolts to about 54 ft-lb.
- Install the new pads
Grease the pad tabs, seat the new pads in the bracket, refit the caliper, torque its bolts to about 17 ft-lb, then tighten the brake line bracket's 12mm bolt.
- Reinstall the wheel
Torque the lug nuts to about 89 ft-lb in a crossing pattern.
- Bed the brakes in
Pump the pedal until firm, test stopping gently at 5 and 10 mph, then road test.
