Steps
- Remove the wheel
Loosen the 22mm lug nuts with the car on the ground, then raise and support it and pull the wheel.
- Remove the old pads
Remove the 14mm caliper bolts, push the pistons back with a screwdriver, swing the caliper aside, pry off the old pads, then pull the pad slides.
- Remove the rotor
Remove the 15mm bracket bolts, confirm the parking brake is released, remove the rotor's T30 retaining screw, back off the parking brake adjuster through the rubber plug if needed, then pull the rotor off.
- Fit the new rotor and bracket
Seat the rotor, readjust the parking brake adjuster, tighten the T30 screw, clean both rotor faces with brake cleaner, scrub the bracket with a wire brush, refit it, and torque its bolts to about 92 ft-lb, then grease the pad slides.
- Install the new pads
Compress the pistons with a C-clamp against an old pad, grease the slides, seat the new pads, refit the caliper, and torque its bolts to about 20 ft-lb.
- Reinstall the wheel
Torque the lug nuts to about 125 ft-lb in a crossing pattern.
- Test the brakes before driving normally
Pump the pedal until firm, test stopping gently at 5 and 10 mph, then road test.
