Perform an engine oil change on a 2000-2007 Toyota Highlander with the L4 2.4L engine.

Steps

1. Drain the old oil

   Raise the car and support it, remove the 14mm drain plug into a pan, let it drain, then reinstall and tighten the plug.

2. Remove the old filter

   Spin it off with an oil filter wrench and wipe the mounting area clean.

3. Fit the new filter

   Coat its rim with a thin layer of oil, then thread it into place.

4. Fill with fresh oil

   Fill the recommended amount through a funnel, replace the cap, start the engine briefly, then shut it off and check the level on the dipstick.
