How to Replace Headlight 01-04 Toyota Sequoia

Replace a headlight bulb or the full headlight assembly on a 2001-2004 Toyota Sequoia.
Tools you will need
- Ratchet
- Socket extensions
- 10mm socket
- Phillips head screwdriver
Parts and supplies
- Headlight bulb
- Headlight assembly
Steps
- Replace just the bulb if that's all that's needed
Reach behind the headlight, unplug the connector, pull back the rubber boot, rotate the bulb retainer in and up to release it, then swap the bulb and reverse the steps to reinstall.
- Remove the headlight assembly
Pop the Phillips clip above the side marker light and pull it forward to disconnect its wiring, then remove the four 10mm bolts holding the headlight and pull the assembly up and out, unplugging its connector as it clears the opening.
- Install the new assembly
Slide the new headlight into place and reinstall its four 10mm bolts, reconnect the wiring, adjust the aiming screws if needed before refitting the side marker light, then clip the side marker back in and replace its Phillips clip.
