Steps
- Drain the radiator
Open the drain plug with pliers and let the coolant run into a catch pan.
- Disconnect the hoses at the housing
Pinch each hose clamp with pliers and work the three hoses off the bleeder housing, then unplug its wiring connector.
- Remove the housing
Take off the cover near the throttle intake with a 10mm socket, remove the upper intake manifold's 10mm bolts for clearance, then remove the eight 10mm bolts holding the bleeder housing (an 8mm socket with a flex joint reaches four of them) and lift the housing out, discarding its old O-rings.
- Install the new housing
Fit fresh O-rings, seat the new housing and bolt it down with the 8mm bolts and flex joint, then reinstall the upper intake manifold's 10mm bolts.
- Reconnect everything and bleed the system
Refit the three hoses and their pinch clamps, reconnect the wiring connector, refill the radiator through a funnel, then run the engine and loosen the system's bleeder fitting briefly to let trapped air escape.
