Steps
- Undo the headlight assembly nuts
Working under the hood between the battery and the back of the headlight, remove the two 10mm nuts on each side. Taking the battery out gives more room.
- Remove the top screws and pull the assembly out
Take out the two screws at the top of the trim panel, then pull the whole light assembly forward.
- Unplug the bulb sockets
Turn the sockets on the back of the assembly to release them.
- Deal with a spinning stud if it happens
If a parking light stud twists out, grip it with locking pliers while you remove the nut.
- Remove the side marker light
It is held by two 11mm bolts. Take those out, set the small brace aside and lift the side marker out of the trim.
- Remove the trim screws
Take out the three Phillips screws, one on the side and two underneath, to release the old bezel.
- Fit the lights into the new trim
Locate the light in the inside of the bezel first, then work the rest around with your thumb until the small teeth lock in.
- Start all the screws, then tighten
Fit each screw loosely first, check they are straight, then tighten them all.
- Reinstall the assembly
Slide it in, start the top bolt, remember the little brace, then the bottom bolt. Refit the side marker bolts.
- Reconnect and finish
Plug in the front signal light, fit the parking light and the two top screws, and check all the lights work.
