How to Replace Headlight and Bulb 97-99 Cadillac Deville

Replace a headlight bulb or the full headlight assembly on a 1997-1999 Cadillac DeVille.
Tools you will need
- Ratchet
- Socket extensions
- 7mm socket
- 10mm socket
- E8 inverted Torx socket

- Headlight bulb
- Headlight assembly
Steps
- Remove the old headlight assembly
Unbolt the parking light with a 7mm socket or E8 star bit and pull it out, unplug its bulbs and harness, then remove the headlight's two nuts and two bolts, pull it out, unplug its harness and bulbs, and transfer the wiring harness to the new assembly.
- Install the new assembly
Plug the harness back in, bolt the headlight in, plug in the parking light's harness, then bolt the parking light back on.
- Aim the headlights
Use the adjustment screws so the low beam sits about an inch below the bulb's height at 20 feet and the high beam sits level with it.
